Home Care Packages

What is a Home Care Package?

Home Care Packages (HCP) represent a federal government initiative aimed at assisting older Australians in accessing cost-effective care services, enabling them to maintain independence and security while living in their own homes.

As an approved provider, we are able to provide Home Care Packages at all levels to eligible Western Australians living with a neurological condition and aged over 65 years (or over 50 years for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals).

For those under this age group, help may be available through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). This ensures that individuals of all ages and backgrounds have access to the support they need to continue living comfortably and independently in their own homes.

Residential respite

If you’re looking after an elderly individual, you might find yourself in need of a break at times.

If you’re the one being cared for, you might desire your caregiver to take some time off to recharge while you enjoy a break from your regular routine.

Our accommodation, tailored for those with neurological conditions, provide a comforting environment akin to a ‘home away from home’, offering 24/7 service, support, and home-cooked meals.

Our trained care support workers oversee our residential facilities and possess expertise in assisting seniors.

Guests typically stay at our holiday homes for a week or two, or longer if necessary. Funding for your stay might be accessible through various channels such as the Commonwealth Carer Respite Program, the Department of Communities – Disability Services individual plan, or the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Additionally, self-funded breaks are an option.

Carer support

Our counselling services are available to support seniors, their family members, and caregivers alike.

We provide individual counselling sessions facilitated by our trained therapists, offering personalised support tailored to your needs.

Additionally, we offer telephone and video call support for added convenience and accessibility.

Research indicates that connecting with others who are in similar caregiving roles and sharing experiences can alleviate stress and help normalise thoughts and feelings. You’re not alone – let us provide the support you need to navigate this journey with confidence and resilience.

Funding advice

Individual funding

Seniors in Western Australia can use our services with support through the following two programs:

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

The NDIS is a federally funded scheme, providing funding for support and services to Australians aged under 65, who have a permanent and significant disability.

We as a registered NDIS provider are happy to offer support and services to senior citizens in Western Australia.

Home Care Packages (HCP)

Home Care Plans enable individuals aged 65 and above to maintain their independence and age comfortably in their own homes while receiving necessary care and support. With home care funding being consumer-directed, you have the autonomy to select the service providers and customise the care you require.

This empowers you to design a personalised plan that aligns with your preferences and enables you to lead a vibrant, independent life within the familiar surroundings of your home.
